Restorative Services

Restorative dentistry is any dental process that serves the purpose of repairing or restoring damaged teeth.

If you have missing, decayed, weakened or fractured teeth, dental restoration might be exactly what you need.

Dental restoration services include composite and resin fillings, crowns, and bridges. Talk to your dentist if you’re having any problems with your teeth.

Do You Need Help Restoring Your Teeth?

  • Newer dental fillings include ceramic and plastic compounds that mimic the appearance of natural teeth. These compounds, often called composite resins, are usually used on the front teeth where a natural appearance is important, but they can also be used on the back teeth depending on the location and extent of the tooth decay.
  • A crown also called a cap is a cover placed over the biting surface of a tooth for many reasons. A few of the most common reasons for a crown include: a tooth with insufficient tooth structure to support a filling, a crack in the tooth, or a tooth that has had a root canal performed on it. The benefit of a well-fitting crown is a balanced occlusion (bite) that functions as close to your original tooth as close as humanly possible.
  • A bridge may be used to replace missing teeth, help maintain the shape of your face, and alleviate stress on your bite. A bridge replaces missing teeth with artificial teeth, looks great, and literally bridges the gap where one or more teeth may have been. Your bridge can be made from gold, alloys, porcelain, or a combination of these materials and is bonded onto surrounding teeth for support.
